Using existing LEF wire (22AWG, shielded) in place of the recommended JP wiring (CAT5e/6 -monitors, 18-AWG, Unshielded – doors) will function within the specified distances below.
Aiphone 8222xx series wire = 22AWG, shielded
- Using 822203 series wire or equivalent will allow a JK/JP series door station to work up to 165 feet to the JP-4MED Master Station.
- Using 8222xx series wire or equivalent will allow the JP system to work up to 330 feet from the JP-MED to the farthest JP-4HD.
Between inside stations, the JP series requires 8 conductors.
Between the door station and JP-4MED Master Station: 2 conductors are required for audio and video. A separate pair of wires will be required for door release if it is included.
