Programming steps on how to add a new station to an existing system.
Solution
Adding a new station to an existing system requires logging into both the host and the new client station. Make sure you have the IP address, username and, password available.
Log into the New Client Station
- Fill out the Network Setting page with the required information:
- Host unit IP address
- Static IP Address
- Unit Name
- Connection port
- Connection Password
- Temporarily store the data to save changes.
- Select Updating the system from the menu on the left, then click Update.
Log into the Host Station
- Select IP unit registration from the menu on the left.
- Scroll down and click IP unit search. The search results will appear in a table below.
- Check the station(s) to be added, then click Add to the imported IP units list.
- Click Port number auto-setting to assign the required ports to all added stations.
- Temporarily store the data and select Registering stations from the menu on the left.
- Enter a Station number and Station name for the newly added station(s).
- Temporarily store the data and select Advanced station settings from the menu on the left.
- To program door station(s), check the corresponding box and click Advanced settings.
- Select Called stations, followed by Reference.
- Check the master(s) to be called by the door station, then select Close until you are back to the main Advanced station settings window.
- Temporarily store the data and select Updating the system from the menu on the left.
- Click Update to update the host with the stored data. The system will reboot and return to the language selection screen when complete.
Depending on the amount of data and changes stored, the reboot could take up to 10 minutes.
