Aiphone introduces mullion-mount IP video door station with touchless calling
The new IX-DVM opens doors to more flexible intercom installations
Redmond, Wash. – March 14, 2022 – Aiphone, the leading international manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, has introduced the IX Series mullion-mount IP video door station. The new IX-DVM is a compact, feature-rich intercom with the flexibility to be installed on any narrow door frame mullion.
Featuring a built-in touchless call sensor, the station reduces the spread of germs in high-traffic areas to protect all visitors. With an adjustable sensor trigger time, accidental calls are preventable and less common. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant door station is equipped with LED indicator lights, allowing hearing-impaired individuals to see when a call is placed or answered, as well as when a door is unlocked. Sound files can also be uploaded for custom messages to play during certain functions, utilizing audible calling, communication, and door release indicators for the visually-impaired.
Additionally, the IX-DVM contains a wide dynamic range (WDR) camera that can be streamed to third-party devices using ONVIF® Profile S or RTSP. The camera takes away any concern of sun glare and silhouettes with its 170˚ horizontal view, allowing staff to identify visitors clearly and safely regardless of the mounted angle. The low-light LED illuminates when conditions are too dark for the camera, ensuring clear visibility regardless of time of day.
