Summary

Multiple, common network IS-IP Series systems sometimes have interlacing video between its door station and a different system’s door station.

Solution

If there are multiple isolated systems on a network, a change to the multicast address for each system must be made. For example, if there are 10 schools with one door station and one master station, each system’s host will need to adjust the 239.0.1.4 video multicast IP address to be individualized for each system.

  • System 1 can use: 239.0.1.4
  • System 2 can use: 239.0.2.4
  • System 3 can use: 239.0.3.4
  • Etc…

This will prevent the wrong video being routed to a location.
