Johnson Controls, which offers the world’s largest portfolio of building products, technologies, software, and services, has presented Aiphone with a Silver Execution award as one of Johnson Controls’ top suppliers for 2019.
A Supplier Recognition and Procurement Excellence Event was held in early October as Johnson Controls’ thank you to the award winners for their “world-class performance” in all aspects of the supplier relationship.
“During fiscal year 2019, Aiphone demonstrated consistent performance in the following areas: quality, commercial terms, on-time delivery, service expectations, and sustainability as recognized by Johnson Controls,” said Terrence Nadeau, vice president and chief procurement officer, Johnson Controls.
Aiphone’s president and chief executive officer Hiroaki Niitsuma and the director of national accounts, Stephen Martorano, accepted the award that was presented at a dinner held in an historic Milwaukee brewery.
“This award is a high honor coming from a company such as Johnson Controls,” said Niitsuma. “It is our great pleasure to be called a true business partner.”
He added that quality has always been a top priority at Aiphone, a two-time winner of the prestigious Deming Prize, one of the highest international awards for businesses successfully implementing total quality management programs. Aiphone has also earned an ISO 9001 certification for product quality standards.
“The entire Aiphone team is dedicated to providing quality throughout the manufacturing, shipping, service, and business ”, said Martorano. “That’s why it was such a pleasure to be recognized by Johnson Controls for helping the company support its customers around the globe with innovative intercom security and communications products designed for the future.”
